Space To Pause, Reflect & Be Yourself

Hello & Welcome

Welcome and thank you for visiting Undra Astbury Counselling. You may be here because you think you might benefit from talking to a counsellor. Seeking help for yourself is absolutely okay, and it can be daunting to find the right person to open up and share your life struggles. Often, we don’t know what to expect from counselling or where to start.

I believe that, when you’re given the right space to feel heard and understood, you can find what feels best for you, in your own time and at your own pace. I offer a warm and safe space where you can explore whatever you bring to the counselling room.

Counselling is a journey, and it’s important that you feel comfortable with the person walking alongside you. I offer a free 20-minute consultation, so you can get a sense of me, ask questions, and see whether it feels like we are a good fit. It’s simply a wee chat to help you decide. If you’d like to get in touch, you’re welcome to email, text, or phone. I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.

About Me

Hi I'm Undra

Hi, I’m Undra, a fully qualified, registered, and insured counsellor based in Huntly, Aberdeenshire. I offer face‑to‑face sessions from my counselling room, as well as online sessions across the UK.

Before training as a counsellor, I worked in education supporting children and young people. Helping them build emotional resilience during the Covid‑19 lockdown, using a non‑confrontational and restorative approach, started my passion for counselling. I’ve always been drawn to helping others, and that path has continued to shape me today.

I have been involved in my local community for many years, since moving to Scotland. I ran the Huntly Language and Diversity Group, offering support to Ukrainians, newly arrived individuals, and people whose first language is not English….

Take The First Step

Reaching out for counselling can feel like a big step, but it can also be a positive one. If you’re ready to explore support, you’re welcome to get in touch to talk about how counselling might help.
